With fully integrated hardware and software, The SensorTrak ESP is the ideal platform for developing sensor-enabled applications such as robots, proximity alarms, door openers, traffic monitors and more.

Into robotics? Expand your robot’s possibilities by adding ultrasonic and infrared range finders, compasses, motion detectors, light detectors, gas detectors, switches and more. Do all these things and more, using only a single serial port on your host computer.

The SensorTrak ESP provides up to eight channels of sensory data with two channels dedicated to analog input. The six digital channels may be used for the popular Devantech SRF04 ultrasonic, Sharp GP2D02 infrared range finders, Devantech compass, UVTRON flame detector or dual bump switches. The two analog channels may be used for measuring anything from battery voltage to light intensity to heartbeats.

The SensorTrak ESP continuously scans each channel and transmits a stream of data at 9600 baud to the robot controller in a comma-delimited list. If desired, individual sensors can also be scanned on demand, reducing power consumption. 

The SensorTrak ESP is available in several models to support various types of applications:

  • SensorTrak Classic: 8 channel digital. This is a completly redesigned version of our original SensorTrak board. 
  • SensorTrak ESP: 6 channel digital, 2 channel analog
  • SensorTrak ESP 88 – 8 channel digital, 8 channel analog (coming soon)

In addition to the off the shelf boards, we will gladly build SensorTrak modules tailored to your specifications.
